About SKILLSWORK
SKILLSWORK was established by Genelle Sweetser, Licensed Clinical Social Worker in 2011. SKILLSWORK's mission is to help you turn Obstacles into Opportunities. The SKILLSWORK name was created to embrace both the Healing WORK we allow to happen and the SKILLS we use to strengthen our selves.
Genelle Sweetser has been involved in helping people in central Pennsylvania since 1988. She began her work in School Based Prevention and Intervention programming. She ran student “at risk” groups and trained educators in identifying student risk factors. Within five years, every school district in five central Pennsylvania counties had groups available for their student population.
In 1997, Genelle began a private practice after an internship with Geisinger Medical Center’s Employee Assistance Program. She provides services to children, families, couples, adults, and facilitates several groups. In addition, she developed intensive workshops for individuals and couples.
Her professional skills include:
- Clinical Imago Relationship Training
- EMDR trainings (for which she is currently receiving supervision for credentialing)
- Core training in Psychodrama and Sociometric Skills
She holds a Masters Degree in Social Work and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Pennsylvania.
In 2006, Genelle developed a school based prevention-intervention program for Lewisburg Area School District. Her prevention model includes providing two counselors to work in conjunction with the school district.
